Re: 56 step side on 07 trailblazer chassis

wow, lots of work in a short time. just curious if those tirese rub. did you reprogram the ecm for the different tire size? how do they affect cruising speed, does it bring the rpm up a bunch at 110 kph?
your truck looks good. lots of cool ideas that you thought of yourself, nice to see that instead of copycat someone else's ideas.

the speedometer show pretty much the real speed compare with the gps speed on the mirror but the thing is the 56 cluster just go to 100k/h ,but that can be calibrated and changed to m/h ,and the small tires take out a little bit of speed but give more hp and torque ,now is very quick and still fast i run at 125k/h by gps at normal rpm the same when gear ratio is changed now have more performance than economy but still economic compared with a classic carburated v8 ,for that im sharing my project ,i start looking for imfo. and i thing is a good idea give ideas about it

Re: 56 step side on 07 trailblazer chassis

hey rusty, just curious if you sold your truck. also, if you don't mind me asking, what did you do for inner fenders under the hood and what did you end up with for rad clearance? i would like to put a/c in mine but so far just dreaming and no hands on yet. too may other projects still. hopefullu will get back to the truck in the next month or two. I have a gmc envoy donor waiting for the teardown.

Hey man, yes i sold it like 3 months ago and after that i move back to my country with my wife, kids and my 81 pontiac firebird 467.
i use the originals 56 inner fenders, i just cut around the TB suspension. with this chassis and engine i has no room, i had to cut the fan 1 inch and that leave me 1 inch between the fan clutch and the rad ,so is not room for nothing there

Great job! Those wheels with the center caps were an awesome idea.
