I tried. Website said no shipping to my home, I'd have to pick it up at the store.

Re: $1 qt castrol synblend motor oil @ autozone
Can't think of any reason not to.... unless you have flat tappets and need an additive or a special oil.

Re: $1 qt castrol synblend motor oil @ autozone
I'd much rather use a full real synthetic like the higher quality mobil one full synthetic rather than that semisynthetic crap

Re: $1 qt castrol synblend motor oil @ autozone
Semisynthetic crap? Here we go again.... I have always used dino, no problems with it at all. It has worked for many decades. Yeah, synthetic has some advantages. A blend is a mix of the two, nothing more and nothing less. Merry Christmas.

Re: $1 qt castrol synblend motor oil @ autozone
Got me curious so I Googled it.
Mobil 1 flash point 230-232 depending on viscosity. Mobil 1 Racing flash point 217-221. Neither one anywhere near 453 degrees. I didn't bother to check other Mobil 1 products. I'm sure it matters in a racing engine, or a modified street engine under extreme conditions. I doubt it matters in any stock or near-stock engine under anything resembling normal conditions. I see a good product at a great price. You see crap. We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.

Re: $1 qt castrol synblend motor oil @ autozone
Synthetic or semi synthetic, can you really go wrong at a buck a quart? Synthetic blends are fine for new or old vehicles. If your oil is getting to 400 degrees plus you have problems that synthetic ain't gonna remedy.
