47 Dodge Rat Build
Hey guys… In the midst of my '65 C10 Short Stepper Budget Build gone awry… You'll have to browse through that thread for details...
 I decided to pull the trigger on a side project...  I found this beauty sitting at a friend's shop and bought it a few months back and finally decided to drag it home and get started. It seems someone started and decided to walk away… the Dodge cab and bed have been hacked on and set on a S-10 frame...  Included with the truck is a Cadillac Escalade seat, an aftermarket tilt steering column, and a complete wiring harness. I picked up a '99 305 out of a Silverado and a TH400 from another friend… Plans are to swap the TBI out for a carb set-up and install a thumper cam and headers...  Enough of the blabberin'…  …and onto the pics…Yes, there are plans for the pedal car too...

Here are a few to show the "Funky motor mounts" the P.O. had "fabbed"
 …and yes I use the word fabbed loosely...D/S Mount just unbolted, but I had to cut off the pass side… Bottom pic shows the box of proper mounts from Trans-Dapt through Jegs...

Very cool project! I have a soft spot for these trucks too. my Dad has a 47 we'll build some day. We've just been acquiring parts for it for the time being. These trucks are hard to find decent body panels for.

Update time...
Pulled the Manual trans, front accessories, exhaust manifolds, and starter, temporarily bolted the TH400 to the engine... Prepped the stock mounting holes by running a tap through the threads… Bolted on the mounts, then set the engine and trans in place...

After that, my neighbor let me know he had picked up my gas tank… A friend of his wanted to trade the 18 Gal Boat tank, with a gauge in the top near the filler, for a tattoo…SOLD!!!
