Anyone thinking about putting the top back on yet?

It's definitely getting close to time to be thinking of putting the top back on their blazer or jimmy, atleast around here.Over the weekend it was in the mid 90s here but now its starting to look like fall.Tomorrow it's suppose to be in the low 80s and then lower 70s after that and a few days in the mid to lower 60s and then nothing warmer after that.I'll probably put the top on mine by the end of next week unless the weather man says it's going to warm back up.I've got the blazer almost ready for the top to go on.The windshield frame is in,and the windshield is in.I just need to remember where I put the hard top at..lol.I think it's behind one of the many trucks, just dont know which, maybe it's propped up against a tree? I don't know but I'll find it I've just got to get one of the plastic pieces that goes on top of the door at the front, since mine is broke, and drop the top back on.Maybe the drivers door will shut better once the top is back on Anyone else getting ready to put the top back on theirs? If I had a soft top I may keep the hard top off longer but I dont so yeah..

Nice - I would love to have more than 2 seasons. I am really tiring of South Texas lately.

Re: Anyone thinking about putting the top back on yet?

I was just looking at my hard top last night and thinking, do I put it on or find the time to install a used Fastrack that I bought a couple months ago.

Kind of makes more since to put the hard top on for the winter so not to have the extra wear on the softtop.

What do you all think?

I was going to put mine back on last weekend, but I ran out of time. I'm going to try for it again this weekend.

LOL - that's priceless. "So, why are you keeping those four ratty stock wheels and tires?" - "Those? - Those are my 'garage set'."

Yep,its been drove a few times, just not a daily driver.I mostly take it out on the weekends or when I'm going somewhere close. Not any far distances,I've probably put 30-40 miles on it so far.

Re: Anyone thinking about putting the top back on yet?

It was chilly all day with temps in the lower 60s.It may have not felt that cold if it wasnt 94 over the weekend but in a month or two I'll be wishing for the warm weather. It was down in the lower 50s this evening and I took the blazer for a cruise. It was not to bad,but was wearing a light jacket..I might postpone putting the top back on since the weather man says it is suppose to be back in the mid 70s next week.Maybe by early November it will be on?? By the way,I found the hard top,I had it sitting behind the '79 K10..
