Don't worry still cleaning the frame etc too.

Very nice

Re: Old School Patina 67 SWB Build

Productive day today. Had couple buddies help me take the body off, and then started wire wheeling the frame. Long way to go but I'm liking the progress.

Currently the bed and front clip are on the back porch of the shop, and cab still inside for repairs.

As always pics included.

Re: Old School Patina 67 SWB Build

Almost down to the bare frame, just brake and fuel lines left.

Trying to decide on drop kit, and brake lines to order this week.

Luckily my wife keeps helping me along, it's awesome to build something with her!

Whoa! I thought we were talking about a budget build here. Just when I was gonna suggest trying to use the 307 or old-skool 327 you mentioned. Anyway, sounds like you'll end up with an awesome engine.

Are you going to have the block decked so you end up with a decent quench height? And I assume you'll take advantage of the block being roller cam ready.

Re: Old School Patina 67 SWB Build

It's still a budget, i just called in a lot of favors for the engine. Lot of industry test parts here lol. Having done the math I'm leaving deck alone as I'm already at 9.8 to 1. Since pump gas is the goal I wanted to stay under 10 to 1.

I can't decide 3/5 or 4/6 drop.

For sure! She just ordered my birthday present, a 3.5/5 drop kit. She's pretty amazing.

Re: Old School Patina 67 SWB Build

Lots of parts ordered this weekend!

Auburn limited slip
New u bolts for rear
All new brake lines & ebrake cables
LMC gas tank relocation kit

Lowering kit has arrived!

More pics next weekend after our first swap meet of the season. Hoping to get frame painted next weekend and start reassembly.

Budget took a hard hit with all these parts so no more big buys for a while.

True story, it's demanding a lot lately. Did find this on ebay and couldn't say no.

Re: Old School Patina 67 SWB Build

Struck out at the swap meet today, unfortunate after hours of driving. Guess I'll put up a wtb post here.

Last coat of paint on top of frame. 3 days off next weekend so hoping to get a lot done.

Re: Old School Patina 67 SWB Build

Haven't been making as much progress as I hoped. But we did get the corvette out of hibernation and recovered the seats. Not planning on doing that again anytime soon.

Current truck project is rebuild the axle with new limited slip.
