As in C50 truck. Thought it might be a '72 but it's different than the one that came in my C10

Re: Help ID Power Steering Pump

i'm not real sure about specific years/models but i have a 71 c20 and just sold a 78 c30, both big blocks, and both have setups that look just like that.

Re: Help ID Power Steering Pump

Ttt Anybody else know what year this pump is from or anything about it? What I noticed is where the oil inlet is is different then a '72 and the three lines on the back of pump. Two return and one pressure looks like.

2 return lines usually mwans it's from a hydroboost system.
And,vans also use a remote fill like this one has.
I've several 80's C-30's with this type pump set-up.

I'm not seeing 2 returns just a high and low pressure port.
But the double pulley resembles a larger truck pump.
Find the part #'s on the pump or pulley and that should point you in the right direction.

Re: Help ID Power Steering Pump

There's 2 return nipples sticking out(one with the hose attached and one without a hose).
Then there's the threaded hole for the pressure hose connection.
Many set-ups like this one use a belt from the crank to pump and another belt from the crank to the pump and then on up to the alternator and back around the water pump.
Mike.

OK,
At that time I've had too much coffee and I guess I just didn't focus hard enough too notice the extra nipple.

Either way the part #'s should get him close too a yr. Or model.

Re: Help ID Power Steering Pump

Thanks for the help. I searched 73-87 form and like Mike said I think it is eighties big block. Midniteblues good call on part numbers that should nail it down. I am going to put it up for sale and didn't want to sell something I was wasn't 100% sure off. Thanks Again. Nathan
