Re: radiator. question

I don't like the look of plastic endtanks from late model trucks, so for that reason alone I'd just get an aftermarket or replacement one. and don't run a fan shroud since I switched to an electric fan, and again I don't want all that plastic underhood.

Are you trying to use the clutch fan or the efan?

...and on that note how (and who would?) steal a fan shroud?

Re: radiator. question

for simplicity i was going to use the clutch fan. how did it get stolen? it was loosely bolted to radiator leaning against garage between truck and garage the night i took it apart. i lived near the tracks in LaCrosse. we often heard gun shots. it was stolen for beer money i would presume. looking at the new engine i see a slight bit of rash on fan...(from rubbing on rad after the deer crushed radiator.) i will look for shroud and hold downs. i may have a useable rad from 80s truck.

As a native Wisconsinite, I know exactly what you mean by this.
