Re: Columbus, Ohio Good-Guys Nats

Okay guys, the show is approaching, and I am pretty excited! I figured I would go ahead and put together a list of who might be going, their real name, and what they are driving. I figured it would be a good idea for people going to have a list with them, just to make things easier, and so you remember names. Some of the information is just a guess, if its wrong let me know and I will change it. Can't wait to see you guys there!

Grumpy, Tim, 1953 Bare Steel Suburban
Cajundragger, ?, 1962 Red Chevy Belair With Flames 18's and 20's
68c-10, ?, 1971 Blue Gremlin X
NitroMike, Mike D., 2006 Silverado
1968SWBBigBlock and ProStreet68SB, ? and ?, 1968 ProStreet SWB
SCOTI, Scot I., Flying In
7T2, Todd, 1957 Turquise GMC Ambulance
Alvin, Adam, ?
LongHair, ?, ?
WyattEarp, ?, ?
1969C/10, James Gallick, 1986 Red K/20 Rust Bucket

James & Co.,

Just decided that Project Red Oxide will not be making the trip. . . but my wife and I are still going in the AM in my 06 Silverado. Thanks for putting the list together.

Here's my cell if anyone wants to meet. 267-446-8777

Yep, I was told I should post here that I'm going..., but he beat me to it

I'll most likely be the only person there driving a bare steel 53 Suburban. Stop by and say Hi !

We're leaving at 8am Thurs., we stay at the Marriott Residence Inn in Worthington.

Later

Day "0"....

That's day zero, not the banana boat song...

Tried to post some pics last night, but the site seemed to crash just as I was about to post. Gonna be a big show this year. Yesterday was only the early registration day and I spent 5 hours looking at vehicles at registration and at the hotel.

I saw grumpy going into registration as I was leaving the fairgrounds, then ran into him later at the hotel. He and his friends have some interesting vehicles.

Also saw this truck in person:

http://www.besticecreamdenver.com/index.html

That thing is SICK! So much detail to see that you can't see in the pictures! The scallops on the front fenders and the stripe on the side are all engine-turned bare metal that have been clear coated and pinstriped. Just an amazing amount of detail in the truck.

I'll get some pictures up sometime soon. Lots of nice 67-72's. Gotta run now to get a parking spot for day one!

Re: Columbus, Ohio Good-Guys Nats

Me and a buddy are heading out of Cincy tomorrow morning about 7am. Hoping to get most of the walking around and picture taking done before it gets too hot. When the sun is high in the sky we'll be leaving for lunch, and depending on how things go we might come back (most likely we will). Otherwise we'll be back Sunday for the awards ceremony.

I will be there all day tommorow and sunday. My number is 614-312-3126. I had to drive to Zanesville today and just there and back I probably saw 100 hot rods. Can't wait to get there!

Re: Columbus, Ohio Good-Guys Nats

I remember the burgundy 68 from last year..... it was sweet. He did alot of work under the hood w/all the welded aluminum fabbed parts.

I walked everywhere today & didn't see that copper colored 68 w/the cream steelies & dog dish style caps. That's prob the worst thing about the show..... there's so much landscape & eye candy, you can't see it all. Hopefully I'll see it tomorrow. I did meet up w/Adam (aka Alvin) for some grub & bench racing. It was cool to meet another yet another member from the forum.

The copper colored one was back near where grumpy (tim) was with his 'burb. Don't know if he knew them, but it was a sweet truck. They were working on it when I saw it.
