Nice 1969 C30 in Dallas craigslist out of 5427319541. From what I've been seeing a lot of you have interest in these.

Is there a good reason for 4x4 in a hauler?
In eastern NC, you almost have to use 4x4 if you want to get to some of the trucks hidden in back yards. It's always wet where I live. I think it's sweet, but too high off the ground.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

I see this all the time, "Truck is solid except rust in lower areas". I guess you do have to watch for drip rail rust now, but lower body rust has always been the issue. "Body 95% rust free". Yeah 5% is what, just up into the door bottom? And how many times do you see, "Have parts to fix"? Great and thanks, now all I have to do is toss them on and look at the $300 I saved on a restoration

It is a SWB K/10, but I'd want it driveable for that much money. The floor looks fine, just has an "area" that needs attention and rockers replaced. Supports too, once there is a place to put them. Needs a whole bed to be right. I'd want that for no more than $2k. I'm sure there's a spot of rust elsewhere on that truck and the frame should be closely inspected.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

That 4wd hauler would be better suited as a rollback. A hauler is for transport, which is generally lot to lot with hiway between. When we rescue trucks we have to sometimes do recovery. The 4wd combined with a rollback bed would be the ultimate, winch on front makes it the best. Hauler bodies are made to look good going down the road...and carry low. The dovetail limits where they can go, just like a car carrier with a low belly. That thing needs 6-8' more dovetail to put it where it should be

That would restore into a nice original truck. I had a Cheyenne Super in those colors and it was super sharp! It even got belt mouldings with the solid paint. That's a sharp truck w/o a ton of options piled on.

I love that combo - here's a better pic of that combo (but in a Super, not just a Cheyenne - speaking of which, sure wish the seller hadn't plastered the woodgrain shelf lining to the glovebox to take a swing at looking like a Super. Swing & a miss... but still, nice combo):

It's a slider to accommodate a long camper. Slides back to normal position when not hauling the camper.

Soco - that k20 long step is a find. K20 steppers are not common, especially in lt yellow! It's rough, but for $2K, that is a cool truck. (Yes, it's $2000.... That won't last long)

I know where a really nice bed is for that truck.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

I bought the 68, yeah the floor is gone but the cowl and toe board are fine its got PS, PB, 4 speed, the V6 runs like a top, the frame is solid, someone added a tilt column and he work with me on the price. The other truck he has is very nice just not what I was looking for.
