IA WTB: 1968 med green dash pad - any condition

I’m in search of a factory original dash pad that would have been installed in a 1967-68 503 green pickup with a 603 green cloth interior. The dash pad I’m looking for would be a medium green color with some metallic flake. I am working with USA1 Interiors to mix the right dye for this color. I don’t need the whole dash pad, but only need a swatch of the fabric in good condition, unfaded. If you have this color pad with cracks, etc., let me know and I‘ll be glad to buy/ship/snip it.

Painter, USA1 Interiors makes a dash pad in aqua, it sounds like you may want to check into that? In fact, they have a few shades of aqua. Their 67-68 aqua dash pad would more or less match the door panels and seat upholstery in these pickups, and probably your welt. In ‘68 they didn’t come with aqua dash pads, instead the dash pads were a much darker green, and I’m trying for that odd shade of green.

Yes I know. Its darker shade of green. The problem with trying to match the lighter aqua is everyone makes a bit different shade of it. It all looks close but in cab you can tell it's all different sheds. Ours is a 68 gmc. It's supposed to be darker. Like the dash in this picture I think.

OK, gotcha. USA1 is offering to analyze the dash color and make it one of their regular colors if I can produce a swatch of the original green. After that, anyone will be able to buy one. At first I ordered an aqua dash but that is on hold while we figure out if we can make original green ones. If I can’t make that happen, I’ll go forward with aqua.

THAT, may not be close to the original color...maybe. SOmeone here has what's left of an original green dash pad....I had one, many years ago. Don't even, remember the exact color...

Astro: I talked to SMS about it when I ordered my seat cover and I remember they referred me to another company. Don’t think I wrote down who that other company was. I’m afraid the color I need might be the missing med green, hard to tell in online photos, tho.

Woody, the dash pad arrived at USA1 yesterday and Randy has clipped a portion of it to send to their vinyl supplier. Thanks so much for providing that dash pad and working with me to get it shipped.

My pickup has a 603 GREEN CLOTH TRIM option code along with Z62 CUSTOM GROUP. Visors are what we call aqua today. They don’t match the dash pad and are much closer to the door panels and seat vinyl.
