Re: good question

I have this pic of my girlfriend taking the front clip off of my truck. She road in the truck with me around the block before we started dissembling the front clip. She's into what ever I like so I don't think there will be a problem when the truck is finished.

I realize this was over a year ago, but where did you end up here in MT. I know a few gents from Philly living out here. Did you hit any of our car shows?

Re: good question

My old lady (wife is 34 y/o) likes the truck which we have had for about 10 years. Because over the years it has proven to be the most reliable vehicle we own! She will not drive the 3 on the tree though, if it was a floor shift she would do it.

When we picked up the truck we drove it from Lynchburg VA to Marietta GA. The dang clutch pedal drops to the floor somewhere on I-85 South in GA... Luckily it was just a clip that droke which was quickly fixed with some spare wire. But even after that early bad omen she still rides and so far no other breakdowns have occurred.

Tonight we are headed to Baltimore in it... with no heat. Brrr.

Re: good question

I moved the trucks back to the house and the Chargers to the storage garage on Sunday. Here are a few pictures of the progress. I bought a posi for the blue one and got rid of the Ford buckets that were in it. I put a crush velor seat and dash pad in the blue truck and an original seat in the white truck. Next week I plan on changing the steering column in the blue truck and putting in the 4 speed.

Re: good question

How much should you have to pay for new GM inner fenders "front" and a chrome front bumper for a 71?

Re: good question

Didnエt this thread have to do with wifes or girlfriends driving your trucks or something like that?

Re: good question

I'll try and help get it back on track. Not a truck but here is a pic of my wife in the 57 wagon I bought her. She loves these old vehicles. She loved driving my '76 vette when I had. She loved the 67 GTO when I had it. Pretty much anything that has had an automatic she has enjoyed driving. Although she doesn't like having her picture taken. PS ... Don't tell her I posted this pic, she will kill me!

Re: good question

I'm taking a few of my trucks in for dual exhaust next week. If anyone does exhaust in the greater Harrisburg area let me know or I will have to take it where I've been going which is where the prices have been going UP!!!!

Re: good question

Wow- this is an old thread! My wife made it about 500 feet in my truck before I had to turn around to take her back because she was scared. I tried to explain that noise, smoke, and sketchy steering were normal for a 40 year old truck that hadn't been driven for a few years. I decided not to tell her the brakes were really bad and didn't completely stop the truck. That's what emergency brakes are for!
