Hey S-10 folks!!!!

Hey everyone, I'm picking up an 86 blazer soon. It had a 4.3/T5 swapped in back in the early 90's, and I'm a little confused about the clutch master placement, it's directly below the brake booster. Is this factory? Or is it someone's hack job? Either way i'm buying this thing, 50k original miles 10k on the engine garaged since new, mint bright red paint, blak vinyl interior, and digital guages for the low price of $1500. I'll post pics asap.

I had an 86 new. IIRC the clutch master was below the booster. Mine had a 2.8 and 5 speed. Way underpowered.

Re: Hey S-10 folks!!!!

I love my 4.3 l, ive never owned a 2.8 but i herd about them being wayy underpowered, even for an s10. But they were alot better on gas lol , im barely get 20 mpg on mine. But very reliable to boot

Re: Hey S-10 folks!!!!

For a s10/s10 blazer, it should be located beside the brake booster. The outer side close to the fender. But the location would depend on where the pedal set they installed put the rod going to the cylinder.

Re: Hey S-10 folks!!!!

I definitely would like to see pics of this blazer. I am not for sure on this, but I don't think the digital gauges was available in that year(most versions of s10's didn't get that option). That may have been swapped out of a Bravada. Not sure when they became available, but I am think about 1990. Sounds like they put a little money into this thing and your getting a heck of a deal IMO.
