Frame swap

I'm sure someone here has done it...
I'm doing a frame swap. Is there an easy way to get it done? I have plenty of good, strong oak 4x4's and some 55 gallon drums. I was planning to jack the body up a bit at a time until I get it high enough to roll the frame out from under, then just roll the new one in. I'm hoping to leave the front clip in place, there's no engine in the way, so I'm hoping I can use front fenders and core for support.
Any help would be appreciated, I'd hate to make the same mistake some of you might have made and would like to hear your ideas of how to go about getting this done.
