swivel buckets?

Any body ever mount any kind of swivel buckets in one of these blazers? If you have please let me know what has worked for you. I have a nice set a swivel bases out of a early 80's van but they are 9 inches tall. Not sure how these will work.

Re: swivel buckets?

My '77 Blazer had conversion van seats in it when the previous owner bought it. They were WAY too high and it might not have been very easy to drive without the tilt wheel.

Re: swivel buckets?

Ya i've decieded that these are to tall. They did put swivels in the mid 70's gm cars that probally could be adapted. I seen this along time ago just thought it would look good.

Re: swivel buckets?

jsut buy a set of swivels for boats seats. they do make some that lock nto position too, and they are only about 4" tall. ve used them many times, and get them from the local boat store around here. will try and see f i can find a extra one a snap a pic of it.
word of advice, weld a plate to it on both sides of the swivel, then you can mount your seat directly to the plate usually with the same bolts that hold the rack, ive actually left the rack on a few sets, but also the plate helps big time distributing the weight across the floor. if your a hefty feller, they could fall through over time, my first set did this until i added the plate on the bottom.
