Re: Ford's aluminum body and fireworks don't mix
So people buy Camaros instead of vettes because of their size? Lol. So dumb. Try again.

The Vette is no family car while the Camaro, hmmm..... OK, I see your point

Mine still gets a ton of attention after 11 years. As for it getting cancelled, to my knowledge GM has never outright confirmed that,(although it wouldn’t really surprise me if they did because of sales) they declined to comment on it, then shortly after the initial reports the 7th gen was getting axed, those same outlets walked it back saying it was only delayed. With Al Oppenhauser (Camaro 5 and Camaro 6 lead engineer) moving over to head GM’s electric adventures, and the E-COPO concept 6th Gen, along with the Electric promotional video from early this year that seemingly showed an Electric Camaro, that’s where my money is. I bet the next Gen is electric. Time will tell and only GM knows for sure. I’m not sure I want an electric Camaro but if it’s to get a 7th gen that’s likely where it will go.

Re: Ford's aluminum body and fireworks don't mix
Dont get me wrong. The old camaros and the new camaros are awesome. No one denies that. The ones in between not so much. Similar to the mustang. But I think gm competes against itself to a level that doesnt make sense. That's why pontiac got the axe. Camaros and vettes are way to similar and we all know which one is supposed to be chevys crown jewel. Again, nothing against camaros, but at this point, why not just focus on the vette. A firebird makes way more sense than a camera. I know pontiac is gone but at least buyers could feel a real difference between a trans am and a vette.
