Red face A/C Question

I put In a Edelbrock Intake(7101) and Carb(1406) on my truck(71 C10 350). and Just recent tried to turn on A/C and nothing happened. Could this be related
to the compensator that plugs In side of
the old O.E Carb. dose anybody know of a fix
for this. It will not mount the same as on edelbrock as on the Q-Jet.

Cool

I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE REFFERING TO. WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY COMPENSATER IN CARB. If your air doesn't come on I would look at the fuse first under the dash,it's like a 40 amp. Then I would look at the fan switch, and the switch behind the s shaped duct inside the truck has a switch that the cable activates when you put it to the ac side. That is the one that turns the ac on, if it doesn't push the switch all the way down it want cut on the ac.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

It raise the engine speed when you have the
A/C on. It attached to Bracket on the throtle
side of the Carb.

Cool

The solenoid you are talking about is only for idling. It has nothing to do with the compressor coming on. Take a jumper and touch it to the green wire feed on the compressor, and see if it kicks in. If it does check the switches, and fuses.
