Got the hitch all set up and ready to go this weekend. Well the truth is I installed the hitch last summer. But just got all the wiring done the way I wanted it. Took off the old rusty 7 pin and installed this 7 pin 4 pin combo. Worked out just as I wanted it. Did a little polishing on the bumper while I was there and got a picture of the new exhaust while I was at it. Going to tow my boat about 2 and a half hours to a boat meet this weekend. Wife will drive it.

I'll have to drive the Dually towing the 5er.

Got the hitch from early classics. The wiring stuff came from advanced auto.

That is nice! Do you know if the hidden hitch will work if you have relocated a Blazer tank underneath your truck?

Looks like a blazer tank should fit. The 4 pin connector and the insert came with the hitch. I thought it was a pretty good deal as the kit. There was just enough room between the plate cradle and the hich for the wires. I was concerned about getting to the hitch pin, but works really well. I added the 7 pin because I have a 5 pin on my boat and I have a 7 to 5 adapter. Liked having the 4 pin there also for a small trailer I have. I'm getting excited, after 7 years owning the truck I'm finnally making some headway.

There is a different part for the Blazer and truck but I would think the tank will still fit. Call ECE and I'm sure they can tell you for sure.

I will get a pic of the rig all hooked up I ment to take one yesterday on the test run. The old memory banks don't work like they used to.

Yes the tank will fit. as a matter of fact that is what I just came in from working on. i need to drill 4 holes real quick and I will be done. i will take some pics in the morning.

ECE has different hitches for the blazer/burbs & trucks. The rear mount gas tank requires the 'arms' of the blazer/burb hitch to be slightly shorter vs. the truck to avoid interference w/the gas tank mounting straps.

I also learned that on the trucks, they use the same P/N regardless if it's a leaf or coil frame. And w/slight modification, it can be installed in a later model GM truck as well.....

I went with a normal receiver hitch that just sticks out below my license plate (only cost $35 vs. $200) but really like the idea for the plug. I might have to get a flip license plate bracket and go that route...

I made one out of tube steel for my 70 and added a steel trailer plug from NAPA. MY truck has a blazer tank and there was plenty room for the hitch.
