CPP EFI tank kit

Has anyone used the CPP EFI tank kit?

https://www.classicperform.com/Compl...kits.htm#popup

I’m planning out my fuel system for a 5.3 swap and there are too many options!! This kit is fairly similar to the ones offered by Holley, tanks inc, fitech, etc, but is considerably more affordable. I know there’s always the “get what ya pay for” but this is a daily driver quality build and trying not to spend needlessly.

Any input?

Re: CPP EFI tank kit

What year model build are you looking at?

These kits seem to be focused for under chassis installations like 73 models onwards....

"67 thru 72" are all in cab original locations...

Apart from that the price, for a street truck, seems reasonable to me...

Have fun...

Re: CPP EFI tank kit

Sorry, yeah looking at the direct replacement efi tank for the Squarebody trucks. It’ll be going on my 75. Essentially it’s a baffled tank just like a stock unit you’d buy for a 87 r10, just comes pre drilled for a separate sending unit and includes all the lines needed to plumb up a returnless efi fuel system. It’s nearly identical to the ones offered by the other brands I listed above, just $150 cheaper.

Re: CPP EFI tank kit

Why not just buy a tank and sender for an '87? With the CPP tank you have both an opening for a sender and for the pump, which are their dedicated parts. Seems to me the GM style would be easier.

Re: CPP EFI tank kit

I run 87 tank / sender minus tbi pump . Swapped on a ACDELCO EP381 pump for a 96 c3500 5.7 vortec . Gets me the psi and flow to feed no problem .

Re: CPP EFI tank kit

There is a decent chance that's a Tanks Inc tank. My dad ordered the Holley tank for his Chevelle and it is stamped Tanks Inc on top.

Agree with the others, stock 87 tank is likely the cheapest option. I've done that with the EP381 in my 49 and have 25k miles on it, but the fuel pump died once in that period of time. I'm starting on the 5.3 swap in my Suburban this weekend and I'm doing an in-tank fuel module in an unbaffled tank just like phillipm did:

The fuel module you use determines return style or returnless on this method. Mine is returnless.
