what should i put in for a torque converter?

this is going in my 67 k10 with a 383 and a th350
i want alot of torque. the gears in my truck are Dana 40 4.11 or somthing. my cam is pretty much a really good idle not loppy. what would you suggest for a converter? thanks

it depends on a few things..I would call any of the good verter manafactuers, and give them your specs and your plans for driving..they can recomend the correct one....if you have a 350ftlbs of torque in a vehicle with 3.50 gears and 31 inch tall tires.. and it stalls at 2500 rpm with a 2500 stall, the same verter with a 430ftlb engine with 4.11 gears with 29 inch tires might stall at 3000 and flash at 3200. have one built for for your purpose and dont scrimp on it....(my suggestion would be a stall between 2200-2500)
