Re: 1972 Extreme Bent Tow Hooks

So this reminds me of a topic that’s been discussed before. What was the price you either had them listed for or sold if you don’t mind?

Re: 1972 Extreme Bent Tow Hooks

Maybe I'm out of line here, but I am going to jump in here.

He had them advertised on FB for $1,100.

The reason I am bloviating here is the way this seller was treated on said cesspool FB.

tmend advertised the hooks on FB and immediately smartasses came out of the woodwork. Few of them had a clue what they were looking at. Idiots were roasting this poor guy. It was absolutely insane. This FB phenomenon is really disgusting. The WWW has trampled courtesy into the ground.

It takes a strong gut to advertise rare OEM parts on FB.

Maybe not my place to say, but, he stated on FB that he got full price.

edit; I agree the price should be left up here.

You are correct sir full asking price. And yes tough crowd on FB. I love how this site moderates and controls everything it works out for both the seller and the buyer. Thanks for the support.

And the Facebook thing helps to answer the question, many of us don’t go to Facebook for buying/selling simply because of those people.

Re: 1972 Extreme Bent Tow Hooks

I was the Facebook purchaser. I had seen them here but couldn't find the add when I was ready to buy. I had to ask for help from another forum person. Just a low tech dude..... :-)

Re: 1972 Extreme Bent Tow Hooks

Mr. Davis nailed it - internet anonymity has cultured an overwhelming number of people to type things they would never say to someone's face..

op, those look like nice rare hooks at a fair price..

that's typically what they go for around here lately - fleabay and other markets a little higher..
