One more excuse shot to heck...

I can hear it now. "No Honey, it's not really that crazy an idea. Just because the truck is halfway across the country, that's no reason to count it out. I've seen guys get trucks shipped all the way from California to Tennessee, with no problems. All you have to do is find a shipping company . . . "

Congrats LUV, keep the faith . . . SSOW

You know its kinda funny at least it is to me,I see Great stuff posted on the board for sale all the time, and it never fells you have the man thats a great deal but just to far comments,I guess I look at it this way,if its great deal and you have the cash to pay for it,the logistics can be worked out,or make it a road trip.Anyway glad to hear that there are others out there who wont let a few thousand miles get in the way of getting what they want.Way to go.Congradulations on your new ride. The old saying is true those who try get it and those who sit just spit it.

Hey Luv congrats on getting it headed your way, one question though, in your opinion; after what it took to get it shipped, do you think you could have went out and picked it up with a pick up and trailer for close to the same $? Just wondering for future reference...see a lot of nice rigs on here for sale on the west coast and was wondering about shipping cost verses a road trip to get one yourself. Good luck with the new Blazer, sure looks like a good one. Gord

I'm glad it is finally on it's way. What's the arrival ETA?

The dash looks like it is painted to me. Maybe he already shot that? Either way, that is a clean rig.

I Will Try To Answer All The Questions That I Can, I Could Not Use
A "friends" Trailer To Haul It Back, I Have A 99 4wd Trailblazer That
The Wife Drives And It Barely Pulls Dads Bass Boat, Bouncy, The
Dash Has Already Been Painted, Not Sure Why He Did, Shipping Was
High, $1800.00, But That Is For A 300k + Nascar Style Transport Co.
And It Is Shipped Door To Door Inclosed, Not Open, $950.00 Is Price
I Was Quoted For Open, My Neighbors Are Gonna Freak When That
Big Ass Semi Rolls Up Out Here In The Country, Dtilly, Anytime U
Are Passing Through You Can Stay At The Ranch, Ha Ha Ha, I Love
Company, That Is Why I Tried To Do A Cookout, Didn't Work I Must
Not Be Popular Enough Yet, Eta Is 7-10 Days Or This Coming Sunday,
Monday, Tuesday, Or Wednesday. And Now For The Only Problem,
This Is The Story I Got From Joseph On The Phone About Loading It;

They Showed Up At 5:45 Pm Sunday Night To Pick It Up, Storage Was
Already Closed So They Had To Contact Someone To Unlock Main
Gate For Them To Have Access, He Said They Kind Of Freaked When
He Drove It Out There, Even With A 4/6 Lift And 35" Tires She Is 90"
Tall With The Top On, According To Joe, They Had To Rearrange All
The Cars On The Trailer To Fit It In Their, It Holds 6 At A Time, And
The Ramp Was Broke So They Had To Climb It Up On The 18" High Trl.,
On Top Of That They Had To Flatten All Of The Tires To Pull It In
The Rest Of The Way, He Said There Is A Jaguar Speedster Sitting
Directly Above It And There Is Like 1" Between Em, Hopefully By The
Time It Gets Here Some Of Those Cars Are Off Of There, If Not It
Will Surely Make For Some Good Photos, I Can't Wait To Get It.

Wish i rememberd the name of the guy that shipped my dads 53 3100 from New Jersey to here in North Cal. It was in a covered gooseneck/5th wheel trailer, carried 3 cars. The guy hauled it with a 3500(?) V6 diesel Ram. We got it shipped for around a grand($1k) i think, door to door in....under a week...

I think that price had alot to do with the EAST to WEST thing, i think there alot more full trailers going East...and alot more empty spots going WEST. He was private (hauled alot of jay lenos rides)and on his way home to cal. We got his 3rd and final spot on the trailer. He usually did $100K+++ rides...our 53 was peanuts compared!!! I think there were 2 porsches infront of it. To top it all off though, My dads company was the reason we moved(wine bus.) and they payyed for 1 car to be shipped, the 53!!!! We drove 1 and sold a BMW we had. Heh heh. Wow long time ago.

But hey luv, i hope you're gettin in some rest tonight, Tomorrow AM when ur posting pics, you should be a REAL excited, happy camper!
