Look around the lug holes and see if there's any number stamped around 'em. That's how most steel rims are but that thing looks custom built to me.

Am i right or is that a millatry wheel? I have 4 15 x 8 8lug wagon wheels witch are 15 inch so you can keep your tires. The spindels on the rear are ground down to clear them. When you come over with howard i will show them to you.

Damn that's a huge rim! I'm guessing they're 16.5" around and 9.75" wide by those numbers. Those would be awesome on the back of a drag racing truck.

Manufacture date May 1972. Robert's right about the rim size. Got to admit I've never seen any that wide.

Don't quote me but i believe they were on option only on the custom camper C20/C30 trucks that had the slide out bumper. Anybody?

I believe Mothertrucker is right.I think yours are from Sears.Alot of people ran them back before wagon wheels and custom wheels were made for 8-luggers.Aluminum Slots being the 1st custom. The OEM was Kelsey-Hayes and I`m sure they made them for Sears, too.I get them from a Wheel & Rim place in my area still.Have a set white powdercoated on my`72 K2500 w/hub caps.Stockton Wheel Or Pete Paulsen Wheel have them. They can be built custom any way you want.

Here's a chassis cowl GMC camper someone posted a while back on another thread, it looks like it has the same rims.

I know where there is a motor home frame but I do not remenber if it is a dually or not. This one had a regular cab with a walk thru cut out. I do know where a 69 with a 12' box on the back is that is a dually. I will be going back to this junk yard as soon as time and this wet weather allows. I need to check a dually truck wheelbase for another member there. Send me
a Email message if you are interested.

I still have 6 of those 17.5x8 8 lug. Great farm truck wheels if you can find tires for them.

There is a yard where I am that I think has some. They have been around since the car was first made I think, and they have all sorts of crap in storage for some reason. Anyways, I was looking for the 8 1/4 version of those wheels, and found a wheel that looked wide, but with no tape I couldn't tell. I found 1 8 1/4 wheel in a bus on the bottom of the pile of 6 or 7 wheels/tires. I need to go there again, every time I go there I find something new. (Couple trips ago I found a 78 Ford Dana 60 and a GM Dana 60 ") ).
