Identify this Steering Wheel

Anyone recognize this steering wheel and/or the make/model?

The rest of the build is nice too.

55 - 56 bel air that someone wrapped the rim with leather. looks to be a 15" version with a chrome center, speedway motors sells that version.

Re: Identify this Steering Wheel

The dish looks pretty deep. Most of the tri-5 trinket vendors sell the 56 wheel in various diameters. the center piece is usually painted rather than chrome though .

One example https://www.ecklers.com/catalogsearc...w=grid&start=0

77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

can we talk about how far that column is sticking out of the dash? for dinner tonight he probably feels like having steering wheel.

Re: Identify this Steering Wheel

It's a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air steering wheel with a reduced diameter! Thanks all.

Dunno what it is but very, very nice. Unfortunately it looks like my gut to wheel distance means its not for me.

Funny how cab roof and wheel "move" with age. Roof gets higher, wheel gets closer

Latest Jonathan Ward ICON TR build, ‘Old School Edition’. Great stuff, beautiful truck.

See the youtube where Jonathan describes the wheel as ’Tri-Five’ reproduction, reduced diameter, leather wrapped.

I don't know squat about tri-5's but the seat looks low to me. How you see over the blower?

I think the lean back is pretty short and maybe shortened from what it was in the donor rig. Seat cushion appears to be the same height as most I found on the net compared to the style line on the door. This green seat is real low compared to the red one though

Re: Identify this Steering Wheel

It looks a lot like mine which is a 16" Tri-5 wheel. It has also been leather wrapped (post these pictures) and we cut off the top horn ring loop to have an unobstructed view of the gauges.

Re: Identify this Steering Wheel

I just noticed... That's an ICON truck. So that is definitely a Tri-5 wheel.
