I guess I should get on those numbers for you guys since it's been almost 2 months. The front body mounts are 3' 5" apart center-to-center. The rear set I used, 2nd from the rear, are 3' 1-5/8" center-to-center. They are 8' front to rear, still measured on centers. I used all 2" square tube, and my wheels are 6" from floor to mounting surface. Overall height of the cart uprights is 24" front, and 29-1/2" rear. I welded nuts to some plate and bolted it to the bottom of the body before I set it on the cart, then welded the plates to the top of the uprights. Total width of the cart to arm mounting surfaces is 3' 11". The arms are 8" horizontal to the outside of the first angle. The 45 degree section is 17" outside angles. The height of the upright is less relevant, but mine happen to be 5'. I used 6" sleeves in the arms (3" in, 3" out) to slip inside and bolt to the cart. There is not much clearance to the bedsides when it is on the side, but most of that was lost in the loose sleeves because of the seam inside square tubing. Plating the outside instead would fit much better. 2 guys can flip the whole assembly with the body over by hand, it balances pretty good, but maintains good stability in either position. Sorry for the mix of feet and inches, and pure inches; I have to work with multiple groups who measure either way depending on their trade, so I am completely comfortable with both styles and tend to mix them on my own work. And besides, the length is still the same, no matter how it is written.

In other news, I am super close to finally getting a little color on both sides of the firewall and windshield frame. I should have already sprayed it, but had a problem with the sealer I was using, and am on a delay while it cures so I can sand it in a couple areas.

Thanks for the numbers. Your timing is just about perfect. I have the steel for mine now and need to get going on the cart so i can get my tub off the saw horses. a mix of feet and inches is fine. i would have probably written it the same way, and added fractions or decimals too. sence im a machinist. lol!

Well, I wanted the brightest green I could buy, and I think I found it. This stuff almost requires sunglasses to look at it in the dark. I've been waiting almost a year to see it on something bigger than a sample chip. Now I've got some new motivation to get to work and get the rest of it done. I want to see it all put together and outside in the sunshine.

Mmm...Bedliner. I had a couple quarts left over from another project, and I didn't like it at all in that truck. It's too slick, so under the body was a perfect place to put it. It should be MUCH easier to keep clean than undercoating.

It turns out that a needle scaler really does wonders on crusty old undercoating. But it's useless on the soft stuff. I ended up scraping the rest by hand with a tool I built from a piece of old peeler blade from a plywood mill. One of those new oscillating tools with a scraper on it would probably be just the ticket.
