Re: Sound Deadener

I bought the peel n' seal from Lowes. It was much cheaper.

Re: Sound Deadener

For what it's worth, I just used the 80 mil Fat Mat and it is excellent..

Re: Sound Deadener

I have the peel n seal as well and I highly doubt it's effectiveness vs a designed sound deadener or anti rattle treatment. Use what you feel meets your goals. If you have a loud exhaust do you want to yell at your passengers? Best of luck!

Re: Sound Deadener

Did the peel n' seal have an odor in the cab afterwards? Does it block a lot of sound?

Re: Sound Deadener

No odor, and no sound deadening or anti - rattle properties. I used it just behind my in cab tank then decided to stop and buy something worthwhile. I tapped on the metal panels before and after application and there was no discerning difference. Best of luck with your search!

I also used hushmat. It made it a little quieter but the impressive part is how it makes everything feel more solid. There is no vibration anymore. I'm seriously impressed. Do the inside of the doors. Worth every penny.

Re: Sound Deadener

I would guess about 50. I bought a kit off eBay which came with 39. I did under the carpet excluding the tunnel. Behind the seat and inside the doors.
