Re: DIY seat cover

I just bought a set of bucket seats and the passenger side foam is great but the driver side bottom in rough shape. Can it be repaired or just get new foam bottom?

I have done this both ways. I replaced buddy bucket seat foam top and bottom, makes them like brand new. Also makes you sit higher and stiff. I have repaired several bench seats drivers side foam. I used a electric knife like you cut the turkey with. Cut out shapes that are easy to replicated with the replacement foam, like squares and rectangles. Used a spray adhesive to attach new foam, then carve to fit contour. The trick is getting foam that is the right density.
