A very nice restored A/T Tilt Column.

I have for sale a very nice restored A/T Tilt Column.

The rebuild includes a complete disassembly and inspection for worn or broken parts. This is followed by cleaning and bead blasting most parts. The Hub and Housing are powder coated on most of the time but not always. The rest of the column is then painted and rebuilt to factory specs. This includes packing and set torque to factory specs on upper bearing assembly. The lower bearing is cleaned and packed. The dust or air seal is replaced with a new one. I have the lower bearing retainer and the screws that mount to neutral safety / backup light switch re-cadmium plated. The original turn signal harness is checked using one of my trucks. It will be reused if it passes the use test. It is then cleaned and re-greased. A new turn signal harness is available on request. The column is rebuilt using new, NOS and quality used parts. Column is ready to bolt in.

On automatic columns the neutral safety/backup light switch is installed and has been adjusted to match the shift indicator. No additional adjustment should be needed, just plug and play.

If you want to replace the reproduction shifter arm I have a number of GM original shifter arms that have been re-chromed. All of them are high quality show chrome. I have both the standard pickup shifter as well as some out of vans which are about 4” shorter. Some owners opt for the shorter shifter based on a smaller steering wheel size. The price is an additional $50.00.

The following New or NOS parts were installed:

- Flasher Knob
- Lower Inner Dust Seal
- Upper Rubber Gasket to Dash Bezel
- Lower Rubber Gasket to Firewall
- Standard Shifter Arm or Short Van Shifter. Your choice.
- Shifter Arm Knob
- Tilt Release Arm
- Turn Signal Arm
- Tilt Pointer
- Transmission Indicator Lens

Price is $500.00 and up plus shipping to CONUS. I accept Checks, MO's and PayPal. Please include your shipping address. I will ship this via UPS or FedEx.

I have several more columns to complete, so if you would like one let me know.

Re: A very nice restored A/T Tilt Column.

If someone brought you a column, how much would you charge to rebuild it for them?

Re: A very nice restored A/T Tilt Column.

Do you have any gear selectors that would work with my 4l60e? Beautiful column that's my only holdback. I would even take a tilt floor shift column if you had one restored.

I should have gear selectors for a 5l60e, let me check.

I will have a 4-speed later next month. Still need some parts for it.

Re: A very nice restored A/T Tilt Column.

Would you rebuild the tilt that I have in my truck or exchange it for one you have already rebuilt? If you would exchange is there any value in the one I have as a core?

I can do either. The price either way is based on what parts were used to rebuild yours and mine. What condition is yours and what parts will need to be replaced?

Re: A very nice restored A/T Tilt Column.

Shift bowl is worn out where the gearshift pin goes through and the bottom 2 or 3 notches won't stay latched. Also need a new turn signal unit.

I've got the parts to repair yours. Its possible I may be able to repair your hub or replace it with a nice used one or NOS. As for it not staying latched I will need to get it apart to see whats happening. Let me know.

Need any vent windows. I have 2 sets ready to go.
