'94 350 to diesel swap??

Just wanted to reach out and ask about what all would it take to swap out my old 350 in my 94 ext cab z71 for one of the the 90s diesel engines? Id like to have a diesel and get the better mpg and pulling power. I have 373s in my truck and a fresh 4l60e with zpak, corvette servo 22-25 stall HD band etc. full build. What motor would be best? Year range im looking for , what all do i need to swap, will my trans work? Id imagine it would its a full heavy duty build. what am i looking at going up against, etc. id like to do the 6.5turbo diesel to kinda beef up alittle and stick in my truck to have a tough 1/2ton. Thanks guys.
