From everything I can tell, the entire roof is only spot welded across the very front and very rear. Everything down both sides bolts in, so if you have a complete donor you could swap them out. Another way would be to drill out a million spot welds in the drip rail and just peel the roof skin. Either way is going to take a lot of labor. Here are some pics of the rear half that I separated from one I parted out. I did it just to get a feel for the roof separation. I have not actually undertaken the front part yet so it may be way more involved.
