tire size help?

I have 68 c10 and am not sure what tire size to put on my truck It will have 15'' inch rims on it, thinking of putting on 235/75r15 on an 8'' rim for the front and 265/75r15 on an 10'' rim for the back. but not sure, pictures of any 15'' rim/tire size would be great thanx.

Welcome to the board! Those rims -- especially the 10" rears -- sound too wide for the tire sizes you mentioned. If you go to http://www.tirerack.com/index_w.jsp, you can select any size tire and it will show the acceptable rim width range.

Thanks for the tip I thought those tires would work with a 10'' rim but you were right, tirerack says the biggest rim those tires will fit are a 9'', thanks for the advise.

Re: tire size help?

For your information the 265/75r15 is the same dimensions as a 31x10.50r15 which I have been running on 15x8 wheels since 1994 all the way around.

2 different settups. 6" , 7" steelies , 215/75 front , 235/75 rear. 7", 8" ralleys , 235/75 front , 255/70 rear. Are you going stock or lowered?

If you plan to lower the truck, consider that before you buy tires/rims.
