Re: Drop spindles 98 S10

I have 2" Belltech drop spindles on my '03.

Currently running 225/70/15 tires, have had 235/60/15s in the past.

I am running 80s Camaro RS wheels on my truck, and had to add a 3/16" wheel spacer to keep the tierods from running the wheel.

Do the Belltech Spindles space the wheel out any from stock? I read on another forum that they changed the spacing outward and I am trying to verify if that is true or not.

I have heard that too. I cannot tell you for certain (I didn't measure) but I don't think they did on my truck. I have not had any wheel/tire rub on the fenders. Then again, I am only at a 2/2" drop, and it might if the truck was lower.

Re: Drop spindles 98 S10

Does anyone have any experience with the Belltech spindles to know if they change the spacing outward? Their Tech information does not provide that detail.

How do the 225/70-15 tires fit on the front of your truck? Any rubbing or clearance problems?

Re: Drop spindles 98 S10

Tires themselves fit just fine. They are only a 1/4" taller than stock. No rubbing or other issues.

Anyone else have experience on how big I can go on a 15" seventy five series tire on stock seven inch factory aluminum swirl wheels on a stock 98 4cyl with 2" drop spindles?

Re: Drop spindles 98 S10

I tried 235/75-15 they rub on the lower inside wheel wells at full lock. Next tried 225/75-15 they fit with just a slight amount of rub at full turning.
