Windshield water pump

I was wondering if there is a way to find out if water pump is working before I put it back in. Also do you guys know which hose goes to water tank. This was not hooked up since I was a kid. My dad believes it was clogged I was just going to by a new one, trying to save some money

Testing the pump is doable but you have to have all of the wires hooked up to the wiper and washer. The wiper motor drives the washer pump.

Have you checked this thread out?

Post #95 has a little info on the washer pump. The large hose (it's in the center of the three hose outlets on the pump) connects to the tank..
