Re: 1948 Chevy project

yeah I'v spent alot of time on fenders even with patina trucks. I wanted to paint a truck a long time ago, started working on a rear fender and had 25hrs in it just to get to epoxy stage. Its a ton of work either way esp for painted trucks. Fitment takes soooo long too. I start running outta patience after a while! keep it up cause you are def about to drive that thing.

Thanks. Agree on the patience thing also. Haha. Just having fun and doing it all on my own. Well except for final paint. Hoping to hear it run for the first time soon.

Still deciding on tail lights also. May go this route. Also putting one of the rear light bars under tail gate.

I really like your interior colors. I have also always been a fan of a silvery blue colors.

Keep at it.

Thanks. At final stages of wiring and fuel lines then crossing my fingers and ready to fire it up for the first time. Can not wait. Long, slow build.

Re: 1948 Chevy project

looking good, can I ask what goop if any did you all use between the fenders and the inner fenders, I believe they had some material stapled to the fenders from the factory, but I'm sure that gets stripped and removed during the painting phase

please and thank you,
Greg

Re: 1948 Chevy project

Interior is done. 1 piece headliner installed. Just waiting on paint then installing windows. Still want to make some pillar interior panels by front windshield but will need to do that after windshield install. Coming together. Nice to finally have a running functioning truck after 7 years.
