Got a lot done in a few hours. I had to use my plasma cutter to miter my cuts and then grind them. What a pain in the ass. Basically I keep the oem geometry but lowered it 2 inches so all will lay right. Tommorow I am going to start the front. Now I'm happy. Lol

I'm not sure what you mean bud, If you're talking about the C notch's there is no reason to have the curves in them anymore because I can put the bed mounts wherever I want

Seems like if you want a ton of followers you have to throw a bunch of money at a project, I like the DIY stuff better myself. I'm sure there are plenty of others that do more following than posting so just keep on updating for us. Can't believe you did all that work just to start over again! Keep on it.

I here you on the big money projects. I am just a normal joe and if I can do it anybody can do it. That's what I try to get out there.

I wasn't happy with the stock frame so I wanted to make a new one. My buddy and I spent 2 hours tonight figuring out the angles and measurements to create a new front end. All the miter cuts and angles. Lot of planning.

So a few days later. Hours of scetching this is what we came up with. I'm going to build a cross member. Went back to original frame height.
I'm going to widen the front up like the mid section so there is no clearance issues from the headers when I put them on. Also hopefully won't have to tunnel the cab out for the tranny. One thing at a time. Lol

Thanks guys. It really means a lot to me. I know it looks like a piece of steel on the floor but to get that far was hard. Hopefully if my wife doesn't flip out on me I will get the other side done. Then it will start to look like a frame.

I am so happy how the frame is coming out. I ran out of argon mix so all is tacked on the cross member. The engine will sit lower hopefully enough so I don't have to tunnel for my trans. I need to order new upper and lower a arms.

If you have a green welding bottle instead of the maroon bottle you can take it to one of the farm supply stores and they will fill it for you,

I have a feeling that I will end up using mustang 2 uppers and lowers. My buddy has a 80's corvette front end so tomm I'm going to pick it up and see what I can do with that.

I wish there was a farm place to have my tank filled around here. Only place to get it filled is a welding supply house. Or I can borrow my friends. Lol

For some more work done. I raised the cross member up 2" and tack up some brackets. What do you think?
