I think you would get all that back if you wanted an original truck I think it is worth that IMO but who's to say I just wish I had the $$$$ to buy it.

I have to agree with you, the truck looks great.

I must say though, the only thing I don't like about it is

It's not mine!

Re: OMG 68 find

Just a few things I'd want proof of before buying, SPID, condition of bed floor (looks like it may have hauled alot by tailgate condition. I think its worth that but usually they don't come close to final value or this high til the end of the auction. 4 days left and that high already, I'd say his buddies are doing a little pre bidding!

Re: OMG 68 find

yep, worth 12k in my book easily - that is really nice. I wouldn't even drop it - I'd leave it exactly as is. Keep in mind it's only 12K now with 4 days left. I'm watching it out of curiosity to see what it ends up going for. What a sweet truck!

Re: OMG 68 find

Nice truck. I would never pay 12K for it though...especially after seeing that 2000 original mile blue SWB sell on ebay a few months back for 17K.

Re: OMG 68 find

I know where one is sitting, almost exactly like this one.. just a little darker blue. But the old man wont sell. Its sitting in his dirt driveway with the back wheels off of it bacause someone stole it a while back.. thats his way of securing it i guess. 68 cst swb fleet. Side trim but no buddies.

That sounds like a cool find to bad it's just sitting there not being enjoyed. It would be cool to get some pics.

Re: OMG 68 find

The sheetmetal is very nice. I am just a bit suspicious of that low miles with that much bed wear and a recovered seat. Definitely a nice truck, but I would have to see in person to be sure.

Re: OMG 68 find

The one I mentioned above is sitting behind this old guy's house in the weeds, about 3-4' high around it. You can see the nose of the truck from the road. White grille section, hood trim, letters, eyebrows etc. It's a CST.

Dad stopped by and looked at it and tried to buy it. The old guy said "Well, I've been offered $400 for this ole truck .. " Dad said, "I'll give you $1,000 right now no questions asked" and he still wouldn't sell it.

It's sad .. I'll see if dad can sneak and get a picture of the front of it. I personally have only seen it from the road but dad looked in the windows, etc. I'm watching it no doubt. It will be mine someday..

I'd guess it's off a farm; low mileage but lots of use.

Re: OMG 68 find

That seat is either original, or made with the correct materials.
Not something one can get at any vendor these days is an OEM correct 67/68 seat cover.
Especially the model with the cloth insert.

So would you all think $6500.00 is to high for this truck?
