GMC Grill differences?

first let me start off by saying Merry Christmas all!

i was wondering, if a '69 GMC grill, without the top chrome bar, will accept a '67-'68 hood.

if i'm not mistaken, the bar was put there to make it possible for the front face of the '69-and up hoods to fit.

any insite to this would be greatly appreciated, as it would assist me in the re-resurrection of my truck.

thanks in advance all!

-Sam.

I have seen it done. The only thing I am not sure about is I think you will need to swap out the hood hatch for the one to match the 68 hood.

Re: GMC Grill differences?

The 67-68 Chevy Top bar should be the same as the 67-68 GMC top bar.
The 67-68 Chevy and GMC grilles look better than the later ones at least I like them better.

Re: GMC Grill differences?

the 68 GMC gril is the same actual grill as a 69/70.

Re: GMC Grill differences?

But when you put the earlier top bar and the 67-68 hood it looks much better.
