There's some 3D going on there. It's slightly concave where the lights are, then at the bottom of the panel, it rolls under (used quarter round of pipe).

Re: Idea on cleaning up the back end...

A little bit more progress. Taillight buckets are now in and ready to be functional (I stole the bucket assys off the rolled pan I had on the truck before). Rear skin is now welded onto the bed, and I'm no down to some grinder work, and then it's time to bust out the mud.

Not quite at Frizzle Fry's pace, but here's some progress. At least it's mud time...

That's actually part of the plan. After I spend all my money, I won't be able to afford a home, and, while a nice waxed-up cardboard box is fine for general living purposes, I need a place to get my weekly bath in.

What pace? The 61 is at a dead stop... Yep, you are not at that pace

Looking good. What will you do about the fender to bedside seams? I take it the fenders are welded on.

I was wondering the same? I know on my stepper that the bed and frame flex a lot, I'd be concerned with the mud cracking.

That looks awesome though, you pulled it off! I like!

All the seams are welded. That was not my original plan (I had in mind to leave the steps and fenders bolt-on for "servicing" ... but then had a momentary brush with sanity, that suggested "serviceability" may not really be my primary objective on this vehicle ). So... I'm pretty comfortable that any flex issues are covered (or so I hope).

Thanks all for the positive comments!

That's something I'm debating for mine too. Yours really makes sense to do it that way. Mine may not need it. We'll see... Can't wait to see yours all one color
