6.0LS + 6L90e is worth?

I'm kicking the tires on upgrading my motor.
Upgrading the motor, why not upgrade the trans too?

I have a 1973 Suburban 350/350/205 which all works fine, but it gets crappy mileage and feels kinda underpowered. Would be kinda nice to pollute less and get better mileage AND have more power.

I found a Ultra low mile 2014 6.0 ls motor & 6L90E trans. but the guy is asking $8,000 for it. Comes with all accessories:
ECM, wire harness, All engine accessories (AC), PIM module & APP Sensor.

I found plenty of cheap 5.3 motors, but when you do the math after you buy all the "Small" things, you can probably get to close to half this number (for a stock 5.3!)

Not sure if the 6L90 is 4wd or 2wd or if that matters?

Save some money and grab a 6.0 LQ4 with a 4l80e and you will be way ahead for it. Great motor coupled to a strong trans with many possible upgrades.

Its not a bad price but the newer motors the harnesses are running like 2700 dollars go with an older 5.3 or 6.0

Yep go with the older 5.3 or 6.0....yes it will matter if its 2 or 4wd..you will need an adapter to go from a ls 4wd trans to the 205 and those get pricey very quick..would be simpler/cheaper to use your t350 or go to a t400 adapted to a ls

A 2014 wouldn't be an LS engine, it would be a new Ecotec. Are you sure about the year? The new engines are direct injected, and not many people have done that swap just yet.

I thought 6.0L are still vortec, Non Direct injection LT based. 5.3 and 6.2 are DI?
