interior door handles and window cranks

Is the quality of the specialty shops (LMC, Classic Industries etc..) better quality than what you get from Auto Zone, O'reilly's etc.. when it comes to these. I broke the interior door handle that was on the truck when I purchased it. Not sure of it's origin but I have bought two from O'reilly's and have no more than lightly grab them to create momentum to cause the door to start to close, letting go and letting the weight of the door continue the closing motion and they drop half the handle on the floor board. I use the ones from the help section. Need to to know if it's worth the wait to mail order one.

Thanks !

Re: interior door handles and window cranks

I can't answer your question, but the handles used in the 1970s and 1980s vans were the same as those used in our trucks from 1968-1972 and are usually in great shape. All you have to do is find one of those vans without power windows in the junkyard.

Re: interior door handles and window cranks

I would buy some OEM ones from the parts section if your going to use those to shut the door with. Probably some really decent ones out there. I bought mine from classic parts, so far fine, but i use the arm rest to shut it with. Good luck

Re: interior door handles and window cranks

theyre all the same in the aftermarket industry. youll notice also how the window crank handles have a platic rivit to hold the handle on and pop off after a couple months. look fo OE ones here on the parts for sale section. youll be happier.
i have some also for sale if you need them. just pm me
