Cool 72 c10 steering gear box

Help'
I replaced the input shaft seals(leaking) and now the steering is extermely difficult to turn. It seems as though the rag joint is rubbing against the adjuster with the set bolt, everything appears to be in place.HELP !!!!

Re: 72 c10 steering gear box

Have you tried to take the shaft loose [ from the steering side] to try to turn the box again? How far into the box did you go? Do you think any of the balls in the worm could have gotten out of place? That would leave you with a hard to turn box if you could turn it. Good luck with it hope you find your problem. Jim
