hey guys can i see some stepside rear tires?

just wanna see some shortbed stepside with some rear tires for me to figure out what i want!

What are you interested in? You can look through my photobucket pages. I currently have 17x9.5 wheels(5.5" bs with 7/16" spacer) with 275/55/17 tires. My old setup was 15x8 wheels with 275/60/15 tires.

did it rub at all with the 275's on the 15s?

Not even close. The 17's rubbed on the inside because the backspacing is too deep. That's why I'm running spacers. I should've ordered 5" backspacing to start with

The 15's had 3.75" bs.

what about sticking out of the fender well?

No they fit inside the fender just right. You will have to be carful running 15x10's though. If the backspacing isn't right, they will poke out. 4.75" backspace would be perfect backspace on a 15x10.

Are you running the stock '68 rearend that has been converted to 5 lug or is it a wider 5 lug rearend?

It's the wider 72 rear.

About 11" - without any trimming. This is going to be close, but may be different from truck to truck. I layed a step fender down on the garage floor and measured from the floor to the fender lip. (garage floor would simulate the bedside) This is absolute max. My tires are 255/45/20 but my truck will be dropped about 7". (more coming soon) It's about 5" now with no wood in the bed, etc. My rear tires are 20x8.5 with 4.75" BS. I have the 68 rear end too.

The earlier rear end is 55.5" plate to plate. The later rear end is 57" plate to plate. So, if you have the later rear end you could run .75" more BS than I do. (1.5" total width difference) But it would make the wheel look .75 narrower on each side. (less lip on the outside as the rear housing width would 'eat up' that .75" of wheel lip) Still the same width wheel, it just sits back .75" further.

How low is your truck? You going with 15's, 17's, 20's + ? ?

I wanted the old school look of big steam rollers sticking out so here's mine.

The wheels are 15 X 10 with a 3.5 backspace. Tires are 275/60/R15. I recently swapped the tires to 295/50/R15. They are a little smaller in diameter and a bit wider tread.
