Thumbs up Test Fit on 1st New ub. 3rd Door Rocker Good

We received the very first 67-72 Suburban 3rd door rocker made from new tooling we had developed on Monday the 13th, we preformed the test fit and checked it for being correct immediately of course and I'm happy to say it went perfect, smoother even than doing a front rocker. They are 100% correct down to the last detail in shape even having the 3 raised to the outside area on lower lip that allows debris and moisture to drain from between the rocker and backing plate. I did have to mention to the manufacturer that the wide rear raidused area at back was distorted with a few wrinkles in metal from stamping and he said they would try to improve that and I do know the NOS one I found to send him was wrinkled/wavy metal some in the same area but either way I'm extremely pleased. So now its 2-3 weeks stamping time then 6-7 weeks in transit and we should have them available by around mid-late November.

GMCPaul,

For about a year now I've been looking for a rear drivers side wheel tub for a 72 burb. You don't have any leads on one do you? New or Used. I know Wes @ classic heartbeat has been trying to get some made, but with no luck yet. Help if U can.

Thanks

gregfull actually I have sent the rear wheel tub & rear wheel tub to quarter panel extension over to be reproduced already but its inline behind the 67-68 Chevy NOS grill we sent to have tooling made for so I would guestimate those rear wheel tubs to be at least 1-2 years before available. We're getting things made as rapidly as possible but tooling costs are expensive & its very time consuming making them and the manufacturer can only develop so many pieces at once.

Are there going to be inner rocker panels for these 3rd door rockers available as well or will they not be necessary?

GMCPaul, Do you have a NOS "Custom" emblem that goes above the door handle for a 70 GMC? I have one already. Greg
