Front Indicator LED problem..

All my lights work great, I just put new bulbs in the cluster, new switch, and new grounds on the panel and signal housings- was having some issues but no more.

Now, all I want to do is put a LED 1157 bulb in the front housing for my blinker/park lights. As soon as I did, when I turn my lights on, the cluster indicators come on steady. The blinkers work but indicators are on steady when not blinking. I bought new non thermal flashers and still the same thing.

Any advice? One flasher said electronic-from Oreillys, and the other said heavy duty and electronic from Autozone. Neither had 2. thx!!

Re: Front Indicator LED problem..

I don't think there is a solution for the parking lights being led. Something about them grounding through the bulb.

Wink Re: Front Indicator LED problem..

Dennis,
To run the LED's you need the grounded blinkers.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Front Indicator LED problem..

Small world. About three weeks ago, I added LEDs for the blinkers and had the very same problem. It was not easy getting the LED 1157's to seat, either.

Thought maybe it was just a bad set of LEDs, because they lit up in the cab when I turned the headlights on.

Re: Front Indicator LED problem..

Let me know if it works. I was under the impression that the parking lights would not function correctly. Every other bulb I have is led except those.

Thumbs up Re: Front Indicator LED problem..

Mine work great. Dennis just ground it to anything close to the fuse panel. I used the park brake mount. I have LED's in everything in my 71 truck except for the headlights and fog lights.

Dang it! Nice truck A. I'll do it tomorrow when the flashers come in. I love the fog lights in the bumper. I was thinking about getting a 69 grill and using the park lights as fog lights but like yours better.

What about LEDs in the cab and cargo lights? Do the 2357s work fine in the rear lights to make them brighter??
thanks!!

I have a set of van lights inside so they are good and bright. I have the LED brake lights though.

Here is a better shot of the LED parking/turn signals.

Read this also. The flashers got it straightened out for me.

I would think so. They are on a seperate circuit. I used both flashers.
