I've got an e-mail into Brothers right now.
If they don't carry it anymore, then I'd DEFINATLEY be interested in your friends if he would like to sell it!

I'll let you know as soon as I hear from yjem.

I actuall had the EXACT SAME SETUP in my 90 T-Bird SC. Very nice but nothing like I want in my 72.

Cup holders are for minivans. Get a gun rack instead. At least that will hold something really useful. LOL.

Re: Cup holder conversion for ashtray

I bought mine from Old Air Products directly on their website. But I haven't put it in yet 'cuz of having factory air - makes it much more of a hassle according to their instructions.
Kevin, did you change the center air ducting as the instuctions indicate?
Also, I'd like to know why you guys say they are not very functional.

Didn't have to change any ducting. Was a pretty simple install. Does not hold cups very well water bottle falls out while driving. Probably why they stopped making them.

I've got them in both of my trucks....no difference in installation for the non A/C or the A/C truck...that I can recall. The screws are tough to get to as I recall. I have to agree that they are more for looks...the only thing they hold very well is a 12 ounce can...anything else is kind of tippy...

Re: Cup holder conversion for ashtray

This is the instructions for the A/C ducting, which is why I haven't jumped into it. As you know, it's a pain to get to that ducting at the top inside of the dash.

As a "Recovering Alcoholic" of 20 years, my "Drink Of Choice" is a 12oz can of "Diet Cherry Pepsi".
Have one in my hand 24/7 and this Cup Holder would work PERFECTLY for my needs!

(Now if I can only FIND one)!

Re: Cup holder conversion for ashtray

Roger, it took me half the day to find out what I paid for mine. I bought it a year ago and paid through my online banking. The invoice that Old Air sent didn't have any of that info on it. Anyway, I hope that you checked Paddocks and found one for $45, cuz I paid $74.88!! I know that shipping was part of that, though.
Oh, and yes, all of the instructions are there.

I am in line if Coursey passes. What kind of price would you consider? My 69 GMC K 10 is without AC so the install would be more simple. Thank you, Bruce

Look at post #35. It appears you must make a modification for the cup holder to close completely. Bruce
