Hey Prostreet67, it looks like you might be at Redline raceway in Caddo mills. Do you go there very often?

Re: Post Your Ride 67-72 Trucks

Thanks! The engine, I just put the edel. top end kit on, But its has the stock short block (which the hyper. pistons are hurting the power a little), time for some forged. With the headers, heads, cam, intake, fuel pump, hoses, fuel filter, carb, filter, serpentine kit, 2500 stall converter, and dist. ran about $3600. That was done last winter, It was really pretty then. I don't want to, I'm a little picky, but I'll put the ugly photos on (most of them are to big to upload, dang,). There is a few antifreeze leaks that will be fixed here shortly (look at the puddle in the bottom of the intake above the breather, and one heater hose is now green). That engine is the reason she still sits a little high for me (some reason it looks higher on the snow) her bank acct. is a little low now.

She has about 2500 miles without a good cleaning in these pictures, I guess that is what winter is for, cleaning & polishing.

Re: Post Your Ride 67-72 Trucks

Mine is a 67 Chevy C-Dime it has a strait 6 cyl. I'd like to put a fast 350, I dont know when maybe next yr. I still have other stuff I'm doing to it right now as far as body,, paint will be the last thing I do,, but also disk breaks and so on,,,
it dose kinda look a little high or those wheels are small I'm going to drop mine 4" in front and 3" in back, if I don't decide to air ride it,,

Re: Post Your Ride 67-72 Trucks

Wheels are 17", front tire I should have done a 245-55, I have 225-55, rear I did 275-55. I would like to drop the back another 1-2'', but I will do 2'' on the front and see how it looks. Winter plans include rear disk conversion (its a kit for 73-87 hope it will fit) , lower, body mounts, sway bars, and whatever else I come up with (well IF I save up some mistress money)! The motor runs great, still needs a little tuning (hard to tune and get all the cruisng in, in 4 months).

Mine won't hold a candle to yours, dialric, but she's a good strong daily runner, and she's clean enough to eat Thanksgiving dinner off of...Today anyway !!

It's a '68 327 4 bolt block. I had it bored to .030 over, decked, and line honed. I used a new Scat steel 350 crank and TRW forged pistons, so it ended up at 355 CI. I used a high volume oil pump, a Comp Cams RV cam, a Cloyes double row timing set, 76 CC 2.02 World Products S/R heads with Comp Cams roller tipped rockers with KoolNuts, a ProComp HEI distributor, and an Edelbrock manifold with a 600 CFM carb. The compression ended up at 9 to 1. At about 4000 miles she's broke in and running really well. I'm not sure how many horses she makes, but it's enough to put a smile on my face and move the ol' 1/2 ton down the road in style.
