I did a search on the dome light and I think that is the case based on what I found, I'm just checking because I can't find anywhere that a door jamb switch would mount. My dome light doesn't work, but it could be simply a bad bulb, I'll check out the wiring. I just replaced the headlight switch which got my dash lights working so I'm guessing it's not the headlight switch.

yup...one of my blazers had it stock and my pickup has it from painless...there is a small switch toward the bottom of the door jamb

It was an option and the switch went below the top door hinge. You will see and flat spot there and will have to drill and tap a hole and drill the footwell side and fish the wire thru. The easiest place to add it is where the door bumper goes. No drilling at all and the wire is right there. Heres a picture.

Thanks guys, first I'm going to get the light working then I'll worry about door swicthes since it doesn't work at all right now.

Something to add, just for general info...in 67 and 68, there were no door operated switches avalible. Only 69 and up.

Option is right, Had 2- 72 Blazers both CST's, one had door triggers , and 1 did not. The one with door switches also had under dash lighting, but I don't know if it was all part of the same option.

my 72 had it and when it got wrecked and i robbed my cab from a 69 it had the raised area with holes in it to mount em

I don't think the 67/68 had the raised pad for the switches.

Interesting that a CST Blazer did not have the switch...theat was part of the CST package starting in 69.
