Picture Request

Okay I want to see some pictures of 81-87 Chevy trucks with the 89-91 front core supports and grilles and headlights on them. Thanks to anyone who can post some pictures.

Re: Picture Request

In my opinion this conversion looks better on lifted trucks than on low trucks. However that red one is sweet.

Re: Picture Request

I’ve noticed this a lot lately, why do so many of you guys block out your license plates? You guys are worried about someone on the internet seeing your plate number but don’t worry about the hoodlums and sketchy characters you pass on the road every day in your very own hometown that can see your plate numbers in real life??

Re: Picture Request

Thanks Ken and Tom for your comments.

As far as blocking the plates, the plates were not mine and were not tied to my information. I really wasn't sure how fmonroe felt about it, so I blocked it out just in case. Sorry if it bothers you guys.

It does seem a bit silly, but for example if you have a build thread and you have a nice shop with a lot of tools in the background of pictures plus documentation of everything done to your rig, a license plate could give an address where a nice rig and a lot of expensive tools live. It's not our registered members I'm worried about, it's the unregistered people that come here. ANYONE can read this forum unrestricted without jumping through a single hoop.

I agree that the odds of anything happening via the internet are much less than anything happening via the truck being seen in real life, and most of us probably don't have rigs or shops worth a stalking, but for the few seconds it takes in MS paint to remain anonymous to any weirdos that may be looking, I'll try my best to remain anonymous.

seems silly to me too, I would be more worried about a local than some guy on internet 1000 miles away

Re: Picture Request

squaredaway, very nice truck.

I'd be more worried about someone getting the VIN and doing something with it then my plate. But, you never know what some hack could do with it.

He blocked the plate because it was registered in my name and if someone with access ran the plate they may have bothered me for some reason.
Thanks for thinking about the previous owner Reuben .

Re: Picture Request

Mine is a little unusual because i hacked the original ´81 coresupport and fabbed some brackets for the bigger lights. The grill fits in the stock location and the headlightbezels were modified for the lights and the marker/turnsignal housings were glued to the bezels!
Hope you like it!

Looks great, I bet that was easier to do then find a 88-91 Blazer or Suburban core support in Germany.
