Detroit
Coys C33's
US wheel
US mags
and probably others...

But they all share the same problem (In my opinion) that the steelie face looks too smooth to appear like a OE steel wheel. While I think it looks cool on some low n slow slammed cars and trucks, especially in the big sizes, it's not the look I'm going for.

Now what I have found is that there are some being made in forged aluminum, from the brand Forgeline, that Roadster Shop has been using on lots of their "Survivor Series" cars... and they are PERFECT! 18's, wide and clear big brake kits with ease... BUT... they want $1795.00 PER WHEEL!!

https://roadstershop.com/wheel/rs-oe1-wheel/

This kills me, because they have the exact look I'm going for, basically just an enlarged OE steelie, but I really can't bring myself to pay 3,500 for a PAIR of wheels...

SO... long story longer... I'm on the hunt as well. And my next move is to contact ET Wheels, based near me in San Leandro, CA and inquire about a set of one off aluminum wheels... I've seen a set they created for Cotati Speed shop and they are pretty darn close to what I'm after. I'm just hoping they're not as crazy expensive as the Forgeline OE-1's
I'm only willing to spend so much on a steel rim also.

Putting a lot of effort into it, as that's what he wants, and it needs new rubber before it hits the road anyway.

Probably just upgrading the front brakes parts wise, and i might use some TA rear rotors, and Regal calipers for the rear, if the drums are in too bad of shape. Otherwise stock sizes here.

True.

The stock 12" rotor fits within the 15" wheels. Larger aftermarket budget friendly big brakes (most common being the 13" rotor/PBR 2-piston caliper) are what require larger wheels. Good quality pads & the HD/1.25" front rotors (which his 74 should have) get the job done just fine.

Heres my 84 Sierra. Original hubcaps. 3 are milky in appearance and one is shiny. Tried to polish them using tips found on Youtube but nothing worked.

Re: Show Me your Trucks with Steel Wheels and Hubcaps

Can anyone help me determine what dog-dish style w/covers would fit on 15" OEM Rally wheels? Will the 10 1/2" diameter work?

OEM truck 'Ralley' wheels will not work w/Dog Dish caps unless you use some sort of aftermarket custom clip set-up.

Dog dish caps use the 3 or 4 'nubs' to secure the caps to the wheels. The 'Ralley wheels' utilize a 3-bolt attachment for the center caps.

PIC1 = C10 1/2 ton 10" Dog Dish cap
PIC2 = C10 (or GM car) OE style steel wheel
PIC3 = C10 Ralley center cap
PIC4 = C10 Ralley wheel

Simple as that huh? I was hoping the Rally perhaps had a raised area or ridge that might accept the Dog Dish cover. I do not have access to my truck at this time to check but came across a set I was looking to buy. You my friend just save me some cash (at least for now)!! Thanks!

Like mentioned, 'cap clip' kits are available through the aftermarket but the results will vary depending on what type of wheel they're getting attached to & how well the clips are attached. Precision on the hole pattern/clip install is fairly important so the cap is true within the wheel.

Re: Show Me your Trucks with Steel Wheels and Hubcaps

Not 73-87 but here's the '72 with 18x8 & 18x10 from Circle Racing.
They clear 14" Z06 rotor and 6 piston calipers.
Does it count of they look like steel?

Roadster Shop wheels are nice but no way would I pay $8k for set of rims.

I talked to Mike a month ago. He bought a horse farm and is in middle of setting his shop back up. Should up and running by May he figures.

Well how about that. Wish I would have known that before paying for 18" steelies. Everywhere I checked showed 'out of stock'. When I went to the website & clicked on 108's, I got an image of the kidney-bean style wheel.

Good intel... is that red truck yours? If so do you have a build thread or more pics of those wheels? Striking out on the google when searching Circle racing...
