I ran an M 21 in a 71 c10, it was pretty much a bolt in(same lenght as a 3 spd saginaw). your m 22 will have a 26 spline input shaft,& a 32 spline out put. You will need to change the clutch due to spline, & the slip yolk will need to be changed. The pilot hole in the bell will be to large to center the trans properly.......you can us a 67 or prior bell to get the proper hole size,or pick up a ring to press on the input collar. If using the truck bell, you will need to bolt & nut the bottom 2 ears on the trans,as the bolts go from the inside,& screw into the 3 spd trans. other than that, just cut a hole in the floor& hang the shifter. good luck.......crazy AL
