Just bought it and got it hauled in today

1972 original gmc swb 4x4. Original paint, one owner original title. Has new seat cover on it. Does have lower rust but not bad. Has original jack and foam back in place. I am going with 4 inch lift, 8 inch stock wheels with caps and 35 inch Super Swampers. Going to put on new chrome front and rear bumpers. Ordered used steering from Steve. Ordered some extreme towhooks already. I will be looking for a few chrome pieces and a grill top bar.

Not sure why pics are sideways. Sorry

Re: Just bought it and got it hauled in today

I like your style. Nice SUPER!! GMC Super Custom, that is . I think it's cool it has the standard bumper with bumper guards to match! I have it pictured just how you plan it. I'd be tempted to paint the step bumper white. The silver fits with the black & brightwork and the white would tie-in/balance with the front bumper and wheels. Oh, and white on tailgate!

Congratulations, fine looking truck

35s may not fit, I have 31s on a 4 inch lift, with no cutting

Re: Just bought it and got it hauled in today

I had 35/12.50s on my '72 K2500 with 4" lift. They rubbed the front tip of the opening on the driver side only. But those were mounted on 9.75" wide aluminum slots. I think with 8" wheels they would not rub. I'm talking normal use. Might rub if going to more extremes. A lot depends on condition of body mounts also. Mine are all original still.
